Siliguri, 09th September: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a month-long series of social and organisational programmes across the country to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service. As part of the initiative, several programmes will also be organised in Siliguri, with the district BJP announcing the details at a press conference on Wednesday.
A meeting of Siliguri Organizational District BJP leaders was held ahead of the announcement. Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh, Phansidewa MLA Durga Murmu and several other district BJP leaders were present at the meeting.
Speaking at the press conference, Shankar Ghosh said the programmes will begin on September 17 and continue for a month. On the evening of September 17, BJP workers will visit the homes of beneficiaries of various Central and state government schemes and light an ‘Ashirbader Pradip’.
