Siliguri, 27th September: Under the aegis of the West Bengal Fisheries Department and Siliguri Municipal Corporation, bicycles and insulated boxes were distributed among 30 fish traders through a program in the SMC today.
SMC Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar handed over the items to the fish traders. During this, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Pratul Chakraborty and other Mayor Councilors were also present.
Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar said that boxes and cycles have been provided for the economic development of fish traders. The state government has taken the initiative to give recognition to the vendors. Under this, these goods have been distributed to give legitimacy to the fish traders.
