Siliguri, 12th September: Siliguri Metropolitan’s security system has been tightened due to the approach of Durga Puja. Every movement in the city is being monitored. In this regard, the Bhakti Nagar police station has achieved success.
During the patrolling, the police searched a youth on the basis of suspicion last night. During the search, a local-made pistol and live cartridges were recovered from him. The name of the accused is Pinku Roy (23), a resident of Prakash Nagar.
Police registered a case against the accused for illegal possession of arms and presented him in Jalpaiguri court today. Police have started an investigation of the whole matter.
