Bhaktinagar Police arrest four on charges of theft 

Siliguri, 18th October: The cops of Bhakti Nagar police station under Siliguri Metropolitan Police arrested four burglars on charges of theft. The four arrested have been identified as Roshan Barman, a resident of Rai Colony, Sameer Lohar, a resident of Banarhat, Prithvi Sonar, a resident of Bhabasindhu Colony, and Chhotan Roy, a resident of Lower Bhanunagar.


Reportedly, on October 7, a burglary took place in a hardware shop at Bhaktinagar police station. After a complaint was registered at the police station, the police engaged in the investigation. They soon learned that the said gang of thieves had already carried out such larceny in a shop in Eastern Bypass before.


After investigating the matter thoroughly, the police got a clue about the whereabouts of the thieves. After which four were arrested by running a campaign last night. At the same time, the police also recovered the stolen goods from their possession. The arrested were presented today in the Jalpaiguri court. The police have appealed to the judge to take them on remand for 5 days.
