Bengal Himalayan Carnival organized at Gajoldoba’s Bhorer Alo

Rajganj, 07th February The Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network (HHTDN) organized a Bengal Himalayan Carnival at Gajoldoba’s Bhorer Alo on Sunday.


   

The event highlighted the tourism outlook of North Bengal through various programmes as well as provided information about the developmental aspects of tourism.


HHTDN advisor Raj Basu said that the carnival has been organized to highlight the vast range of Himalayas to the notice of the people across the country.

Tourism Minister Goutam Deb said there is a lot of potential for tourism development in the entire state, including North Bengal, however, no cooperation has been received from the central government in this regard. He wants the center to review its budget and adopt a tourism development plan as well as provide easy loans on tourism, electricity, transportation, and also exempt taxes.

Jalpaiguri DM Moumita Godara Basu, Vice Chairman of Gajoldoba Development Authority as well as MLA Khageshwar Roy, Malbazar SDO Santanu Bala, CII Chairman Sanjay Tibrewal, and many others were present at the carnival.
