Bank Manager robbed off while returning home on Diwali holidays in Ghogomali

Siliguri, 22nd October: Another incident of robbery has come to the fore when a bank employee was mugged while returning home on the Diwali holiday. The employee is said to be the Union Bank’s Manager. Upon the occurrence of the mugging, the manager lodged a complaint. Taking prompt action the police arrested two muggers. The duo has been identified as Sandeep Dey and Deepjyoti Saha. 


Reportedly, the manager of Union Bank arrived last night at NJP station via train from Guwahati for his Diwali holiday. He took a toto from the NJP station and left for his home in Ghogomali. Meanwhile, in the middle of the way, Sandeep and his partner Deepjyoti stopped the toto and assaulted and robbed him. However, the manager escaped and reached his house in injured condition and narrated the incident to the family members. After this, a complaint was lodged on behalf of his family in the Ashishghar outpost.

At the same time, the bank manager was provided with first aid in the district hospital. Based on the complaint, the police engaged in the investigation, took prompt action, and arrested both muggers. The arrested duo have been produced in Siliguri court today.
