Siliguri, 08th August: In support of many demands, the ASHA workers once again took to the streets and organized a ‘Path Sabha’ in front of Baghajatin Park in Siliguri today. Following this, the ASHA workers marched towards Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Their demands include an increase in salary, government recognition of ASHA workers and several others. After reaching the SMC, the workers submitted a memorandum to the Mayor Goutam Deb. Apart from this, ASHA workers also submitted a memorandum to the District Chief Health Officer.
