Rajganj, 12th December: Manmohan Mandal (24) and Chandan Sarkar (24) were arrested by the Ambari outpost police after conducting raids at two different places.
According to police sources, a youth from the Gokulvita area of Ambari had been selling liquor illegally for the past several days. After receiving a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on Saturday night and arrested the accused with country-made and domestic liquor. His four-wheeler car has also been confiscated.
On the other hand, a man was arrested from the Farabari area with country-made liquor in a raid last night. He is a resident of the Ranjit more under Bhaktinagar police station area.
The arrested individuals were produced at the Jalpaiguri court on Sunday.
