ABVP distributed chocolates in Hashmi Chowk thanking CBI after arrest of Subires Bhattacharya

Siliguri, 19th September: After the arrest of North Bengal University’s vice-chancellor Subires Bhattacharya, ABVP thanked the CBI and celebrated by distributing chocolates at Hashmi Chowk in Siliguri. 


A few days back, 10 to 12 CBI officials conducted a raid at the residence and office of North Bengal University Vice Chancellor Subires Bhattacharya and questioned him. After this, the CBI arrested Subires Bhattacharya today on the charges of SSC teacher recruitment corruption. 


Rejoicing his arrest, today ABVP student organization thanked CBI with festoon in their hands and also distributed chocolates. In this regard, the organization’s state secretary Subrata Adhikari said that they are continuously protesting against corruption. For this, they have been arrested and harassed by the police. Today the organization regarded the arrest of the Vice-Chancellor as a moral win symbolizing the victory of democracy.
