‘Aastha Special’ train departs for Ayodhya from NJP railway station

Siliguri, 05th February: In a commendable initiative, the Indian Railways fulfilled the wishes of the devotees of Lord Ram and launched the ‘Aastha Special’ Express Train of the region from New Bongaigaon in Assam to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.


It has to be noted that ever since the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the devotees of Lord Ram from across the state have been waiting to worship Lord Ram, which prompted the launch of the express train.

According to reports, the journey of the train commenced from Assam and arrived at NJP (New Jalpaiguri) Railway Station via Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri on Monday afternoon. Significantly, over 1500 passengers boarded the special train under the initiative of the Vishva Hindu Parishad. The special initiative of the railways elated the devotees.


In this regard, the Railway officials stated in alignment with the rest of the country, arrangements have been made for citizens of the region to visit Ayodhya. Special attention has been given to food and other amenities and the train would function under the management of the IRCTC.
