A party who burnt the hills, cheat people or the one who brought development? You decide: Anit Thapa

Kurseong, 07th April: An election event was held in Kurseong’s Naya Basti in support of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha – Binay faction’s candidates. Addressing the gathering, the party’s General Secretary Anit Thapa made some striking statements.

Thapa said that every person has the right to vote and now it is up to the people of the hills to decide whether to vote in favour of the ones who burn the hills, cheated people for the past 15 years or the ones who work towards the development of the region. Thapa stated that despite losing in Kurseong during the last polls his party did not stop from working towards the betterment of the people.

Speaking on the BJP’s heavyweight leader Yogi Adityanath’s public meeting in Kurseong today, Thapa said that a person who did not even know where Kurseong was before the election season came to the town today.

He took a jibe at BJP and said that there was a terrible traffic problem in Kurseong today due to Yogi’s public meeting. Thapa alleged that this further affected the business of the drivers and traders of the town. “People need jobs more than big chief ministers, one day’s earning is very important for our people. They can come here and hold political rallies, but our people should not suffer,” Thapa added. The GJM leader urged the people to vote wisely in the upcoming assembly election.
