Rajganj, 10th September: The 92nd death anniversary of Manishi Panchanan Barma was observed in Rajganj on Thursday.
The programme was held at Chiarikhari on the banks of the Karatoya River in the Mehendiganj area under Majhiali Gram Panchayat. The event was organised by the Uttar Banga Kshatriya Rajbanshi Kulguru O Kulshishya Bhakta O Bhakta Samaj Seva Pratisthan.
Tributes were paid to Manishi Panchanan Barma by offering floral tributes at his statue. The programme also included discussions on his contributions and achievements.
Among those present at the programme were Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Monika Adhikari, Saha Sabhapati Nitai Mondal and Majhiali Gram Panchayat Pradhan Sugrib Roy.
Karunakanta Adhikari, president of the central committee of the Uttar Banga Kshatriya Rajbanshi Kulguru O Kulshishya Bhakta Samaj Seva Pratisthan, its secretary Hardeb Adhikari, Toyal Singh Roy and other members of the organisation were also present.
