Siliguri, 13th August: Mysterious death of a person has come to light in Matigani Colony under Ward No. 28 of Titiya Para in Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Soni Sahni (30), a driver by profession.
According to the information, Soni Sahni used to leave the house around three in the morning. On Saturday, when he did not come out with the vehicle even on the scheduled time the owner of the vehicle reached his house and called him. After this, Soni’s mother went inside his room to call him out but found her son hanging from the noose.
The family of Soni alleges that he was murdered as they found him in a very bizarre state. He was found dressed as a woman wearing churidar adorned with vermillion and lipstick with bangles on his hand. His feet, mouth and hands were also tied. Seeing the body of her son in such conditions the mother screamed and shortly locals reached the spot after hearing her.
According to the locals, Soni’s wife had gone to her home with their children on the occasion of Rakhi. The police reached the spot shortly after getting the information. The police recovered the body and took it into their possession and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The police is probing the whole matter.
