Dhupguri, 23rd December: Twenty-five people have been injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup van in the Dhupguri Jhumur area.
Reportedly, a private bus, heading towards Siliguri rammed into a pickup van coming from the opposite direction in the said area. The front portion of the pick-up van was damaged in the incident. The driver has been severely injured. Following the collision, the passenger bus lost control and overturned at the roadside.
The locals and firefighters rescued the injured individuals and rushed them to the hospital. Upon receiving the news, the Dhupguri police reached the spot and have started an investigation into the incident.
