Cooch Behar, 21st April: In a tragic incident, the body of an 18-month-old was found in the Raidak River in Tufanganj.
According to reports, the child accidentally fell into the river from the mother’s lap on the previous Friday night. Following a search operation by the Disaster Management Team, the child’s body was found on Sunday morning. Locals witnessed the body floating in the Raidak River and informed the police.
Upon being alerted, the Tufanganj police arrived at the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. At present, the entire incident is under police investigation.
