125-day work begins in Fulbari under VB-G RAM G scheme, residents express joy

Fulbari, 02nd July: The 125-day work has officially resumed in Fulbari, bringing relief and joy among local villagers as employment activities restart after nearly four years.

The initiative has been restarted under the central scheme VB-G RAM G (Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin). The work had remained suspended for several years, and its resumption has raised hopes among rural workers.

According to reports, the launch of the project was part of a commitment made during the formation of the new government to restart the 125-day work programme.

On Thursday, the project was formally inaugurated in Fulbari I Gram Panchayat area. A community drain construction work from the house of Dulal Mukherjee to Sanjay Karmakar’s residence has begun, with an estimated cost of ₹95,665. A total of 27 workers have been engaged in the project.

Several local representatives and social workers, including Gram Panchayat member Sapna Roy Singh, Rahul Barman, Suryya Mallick, Mamani Das, Uttam Sarkar, and Dayal Ray, were present during the inauguration.
