Siliguri, 17th June: A tragic incident occurred in the Subhash Pally, Netaji More area of Siliguri on Tuesday morning when a woman fell to her death while watering plants on her balcony. The deceased has been identified as 53-year-old Namita Sarkar.
According to reports, Namita lived with her husband, while their only son resides in Sikkim for work. As per routine, she was watering the plants on her balcony when she suddenly slipped and fell.
She sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to Siliguri District Hospital, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
Locals described Namita as a gardening enthusiast and a warm-hearted individual who maintained good relations with everyone in the area. Her sudden death has cast a shadow of mourning over the locality.
