Siliguri, 04th July: On the 101st birth anniversary of Siliguri’s prominent sportsperson Late Panu Dutta Majumdar, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized at Kanchenjunga Stadium with the assistance of Doors Human Care Society. Besides, food was distributed among the needy.
A target has been set to collect around 50 units of blood in the camp. The collected blood will be sent to Terai Lions Blood Bank.
Bhaskar Dutta Majumder, a member of the Panu Dutta Majumdar Birth Centenary Carnival Celebration Committee, said that various programmes have been organized throughout the day on the birth anniversary of Panu Dutta Majumdar. Blood donation camps and food distribution initiatives have been taken. Some social organizations have also been awarded.
