Alipurduar, 17th February: 2 shops were burnt to ashes due to a catastrophic fire near the Lichutala area in Alipurduar.
Reportedly, the locals sighted smoke coming out from the 2 shops early Monday morning. Upon receiving the news, 1 fire engine reached the spot and extinguished the fire after 2 hours of effort.
The locals have primarily assumed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit.
