Two missing boys rescued in Mahabirsthan Railgate area

Siliguri, 21st August: The Khalpara Outpost Police successfully rescued two boys who went missing since August 18.


Reportedly, the two boys namely Soumen Ghosh and Lucky Mahato are residents of Ward No. 4 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation.

As per family sources, the duo left their residences to play football on August 18 and did not return home since then. Following this, their family lodged a complaint at the Khalpara outpost.


According to police sources, the boys were on their way to sell an iron rod which they found at Burdwan Road. When they were caught red-handed by the locals, the duo did not return home fearing of getting scolded by their parents.

Reportedly, they took shelter in the areas adjacent to Ambikanagar and NJP. They were rescued today from the Mahabirsthan Railgate area.

Meanwhile, according to police sources, Lucky Mahato had gone missing six months ago too and was later rescued by the police from Kolkata.
