Two injured in a leopard attack in Naxalbari

Siliguri, 03rd March: Two people, identified as Makaria Kharia (64) and Rajib Limbu (33), were injured in a leopard attack, on Wednesday. An atmosphere of panic was witnessed among the locals following the incident.


Reportedly, a leopard jumped on two people while they were working at a tea garden in the Naxalbari Satvaiya division on Wednesday. The injured individuals were rescued and admitted to Naxalbari Rural Hospital.

The locals alleged that they are living under the grip of leopard terror for the past one month. Meanwhile, after receiving the news, the workers of the Naxalbari Tukria Forest Department reached the spot and started the process to search for the leopard.
