Siliguri, 22nd September: Khalpara Outpost police have arrested a man in connection with a bicycle theft case and recovered seven stolen bicycles. The accused has been identified as Biswajit Roy, a resident of the Murder More area near Fulbari.
According to police, four people were arrested on September 19 for allegedly planning a robbery in the Khalpara area. During the search for other accused persons who were absconding in connection with the case, police received information about one of them being present in the Koyla Depot area.
Police conducted a raid and arrested Biswajit Roy. During interrogation, based on information provided by him, police recovered seven stolen bicycles from an abandoned house in Koyla Depot.
The accused was produced before the Siliguri court on Tuesday.
