Siliguri, 28th August: The foundation day of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad was celebrated in Siliguri Kanchenjunga Stadium today. Reportedly, the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inaugurated the program by hoisting the party flag.
During the event, Minister Goutam Deb stated that he is hopeful that the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad will play a leading role in defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the same way it had defeated the Left party in the past.
He further stated that August 28 is a day to pay homage to the martyrs. The majority of the established TMC leaders belong from the student council.
