TMC staged ‘dharna’ demanding 100 days work arrears in Rajganj

Rajganj, 06th August: On Sunday afternoon, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) staged a symbolic sit-in protest in Rajganj demanding the outstanding payments of 100 days work. The rally commenced at 12 pm and would continue up to 4 pm in the afternoon.


In this regard, TMC’s Rajganj Block President Arindam Banerjee stated that the Central government is depriving the people of the state of their rights by withholding approximately two years’ worth of payment for the said 100 days work. Additionally, the TMC leader, while accusing the central government of not releasing the funds for the housing scheme, stated that the dharna was initiated for the cause of the deprived citizens.
