Naxalbari, 18th March: Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency, Gopal Lama, launched the election campaign earlier in the morning followed by participating in religious rituals for a Kargil martyr family in Naxalbari.
According to reports, on Monday, Gopal Lama along with Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh offered his prayers in the temple and traversed the Tarabari area on foot. Apart from interacting with the locals of the area, Lama also visited the residence of former TMC leader Amar Sinha.
In addition, Gopal Lama expanded his campaign reach and held meetings with the workers in Matigara and Bagdogra. In this regard, Lama expressed his satisfaction with the enthusiasm displayed by the public affirming his optimism and determination for victory.
