Siliguri, 18th December: The 61st Foundation Day of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) will be celebrated on December 20 at the Siliguri Frontier (FTR) Headquarters (HQR) in Ranidanga. Ahead of the occasion, a DG Parade was organized at the headquarters on Wednesday, where SSB Director General (DG) Amrit Mohan Prasad was honored.
Various programs marked the event, during which DG Amrit Mohan Prasad emphasized the importance of the upcoming Foundation Day. He mentioned that Union Home Minister Amit Shah would be attending the celebrations and expressed pride in hosting this year’s event at the Siliguri Frontier Headquarters of SSB.
Addressing the gathering, DG Prasad reaffirmed the SSB’s commitment to national security and the safety of border-area residents. He emphasized that the force remains vigilant in preventing illegal movements along the border and assured that strict measures will be taken to curb unlawful activities on the Nepal-Bhutan border.
The SSB continues its unwavering dedication to the protection and security of the nation, he added.
