Siliguri, 06th September: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Siliguri Metropolitan Police has busted an online gambling den that had been operating in the city. The team arrested four people by campaigning in Fuleswari Market and seized Rs 8,800 from the spot. The four accused have been identified as Ram Mandal, MD Alam, Manav Dey, and Parimal Das.
According to the SOG, all the four accused were running a single-digit lottery inside Fuleswari Market. Even before this, single-digit lottery was running in the city, but due to DD and police raids, this business was closed. Presumably, with the approach of the puja, this illicit business started again.
The four accused have been handed over to the Siliguri police station. Today, the police of Siliguri police station presented the four in the Siliguri court.
