Siliguri sub-divisional council president Tapas Sarkar alleges financial deprivation against the state government

Siliguri, 13th November: The Siliguri sub-divisional council has successfully completed its five-year term.

Although November 15 is the last day of his term, President Tapas Sarkar came to the office for the last time and took charge of his work. On the last day of his tenure, he accused the state government of financial deprivation. However, he claimed that despite the deprivation, overall development has taken place.

During a press conference, Sarkar stated that despite the non-cooperation of the state government, they have been able to complete five years successfully. He further alleged that the Siliguri sub-divisional council did not receive the same amount of financial assistance as other sub-divisional councils in the state.

He regretted the fact that the board could have done more developmental work if they had received proper financial support.
