Siliguri, 18th July: With a total lockdown enforced in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation area, several NBSTC buses were spotted leaving the Tenzing Norgay bus stand with scarce to no passengers.
Although the buses were parked at the bus stand since this morning, they departed much later than the allocated time due to the non-availability of the required number of passengers. Apart from different districts of North Bengal, buses are also available for Kolkata.
On the other hand, passengers were asked to use masks before boarding the bus by the police. The officials further advised them to avoid spitting in public places as it a serious threat to the spread of the coronavirus.
