Alipurduar, 20th April: Pana range forest workers, based on a tip-off, launched operations at the Chinchula tea garden of Alipurduar district, on Tuesday morning.
According to the Forest Department, the wood was recovered from the said tea garden before the smugglers could flee away.
The recovered sal wood was taken to the Pana range.
