Sahudangi resident Tushar Barman battles severe illness; family appeals for financial assistance

Rajganj, 09th July: Tushar Barman, a resident of Sahudangi, is suffering from a complex and severe disease, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). His family is struggling to afford the necessary medical treatment due to a lack of funds, prompting a heartfelt appeal for help.

Tushar, the son of Shanu Barman, a driver by profession, resides in Paghalu Para near Sahudangi in Rajganj block. About a year ago, Tushar suddenly developed fever and breathing problems. Despite multiple treatments in various nursing homes in Siliguri, no diagnosis was made, and doctors recommended seeking treatment in another state.

The destitute family sold their car and saved enough money to take Tushar to Vellore in South India. After extensive treatment there, Tushar was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). The family, in a desperate bid to save him, sold their land and spent several lakhs of rupees on his treatment, eventually bringing him home.

However, Tushar’s health deteriorated again about a month ago, necessitating another trip to a different state for treatment. Currently, Tushar is admitted in the ICU in Vellore, but his treatment is at risk of being discontinued due to a lack of funds.

Tapashi Barman, Tushar’s mother, shared their plight, explaining that they have already spent around 10 lakh rupees after selling their house, land, and car to afford his treatment. With Tushar now in critical condition and funds exhausted, the family is appealing for financial assistance.

The Barman family is seeking help from any kind-hearted individuals willing to contribute to Tushar’s recovery. Those interested in helping can contact the family at 89274-38213.
