Siliguri, 11th October: Hindu Jagran Mancha posters urging shoppers to buy Puja essentials and biryani from Hindu-owned establishments have created a buzz in Siliguri ahead of Durga Puja.
The posters reportedly appeal to people to purchase Puja-related items from Hindu-owned shops. Rather than calling for a ban on biryani, they encourage people to buy the dish from Hindu-owned establishments. The messages also highlight the importance of saving the country’s money and preserving religious traditions.
The posters have been displayed in front of the Tarun Tirtha ground, near the residence of State Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh.
Their appearance ahead of the Durga Puja festivities has drawn attention and sparked discussion in the city.
