Siliguri, 11th October: Siliguri’s Babupara Boys’ Club has chosen ‘Shantir Sandhan’ as the theme for this year’s Kali Puja, aiming to spread a message of peace, harmony and goodwill amid global conflicts and growing geopolitical tensions.
The club seeks to highlight the importance of peace and humanity at a time when conflicts between nations have created an atmosphere of uncertainty and anxiety across the world.
As in previous years, the Shyama Puja will be organised on the club’s own premises. Preparations for the festival formally began on Sunday with the observance of ‘Khutti Puja’.
Through this year’s theme, the organisers hope to encourage people to move away from war and conflict and embrace peace, mutual understanding and harmony. They expect the message to resonate with visitors and residents of Siliguri, leaving a lasting impression on the public.
