Siliguri, 17th June: Residents of Ward No. 46 in Siliguri submitted a memorandum at the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) on Wednesday, raising several long-standing issues and demands related to basic services and local infrastructure.
In the memorandum, locals highlighted poor road conditions, a deteriorating drainage system, drinking water problems, and various difficulties related to public services, along with the daily hardships faced by residents. They urged the administration to take swift and effective steps to address these issues.
Residents said the area has been facing serious inconvenience for a long time due to these unresolved problems. They added that despite repeatedly bringing the matter to the attention of concerned authorities, no permanent solution has been achieved so far.
A number of aware citizens, social workers, and local residents from Ward 46 participated in the submission, collectively demanding prompt administrative intervention to ensure development and proper public services in the area.
Officials reportedly assured that the matter would be examined and necessary action would be taken. Residents expressed hope for timely intervention and resolution of the issues.
