Siliguri, 05th June: A resident of Kanchenjunga Stadium enclosed area under Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 12 tested positive for COVID-19, on Friday.
According to the health department, the aforementioned person returned from North Dinajpur, a few days ago and was staying in home quarantine. His swab test was taken which came back positive today. He was immediately taken to the Matigara COVID Hospital. The patient’s family members will also be tested soon.
The administration is constantly trying to trace the ones who had come in contact with the infected. Following the news, the ward committee started sanitizing the entire ward premises.
