Rajganj, 13th February: On Tuesday, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for constructing a paved road in the Patilabhasa area under the Shikarpur Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block.
According to information received, the road is being constructed with the help of the North Bengal Development Department at a budget of about Rs 1 crore 25 lakh. During this, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Rupali Dey Sarkar, Zilla Parishad member Ranbir Majumdar, Panchayat Pradhan Prabha Kujur, and others were present.
In this regard, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy termed the road to be important and stated that the locals demanded a paved road in the area. Further, he added that the area dwellers would be benefitted after the construction.
