Police investigate brazen theft at Rajganj’s Bhutki Market

Rajganj, 13th December: A shocking theft at Bhutki Haat in Rajganj has stirred up concerns where thieves cut through a tin roof to break into a mobile store on Thursday night.

According to reports, the shop owner, Krishna Das, closed the store and returned home as usual on Thursday evening. However, when he arrived to open the shop the next morning, he found out that the store was in disarray. Additionally, several items, including mobile phones awaiting repair, a printer, chargers, data cables, and other goods, had been stolen from the shop.

Significantly, Krishna Das estimated the value of the stolen items to be around ₹40,000 to ₹45,000. Subsequently, a complaint was filed with the Rajganj police.

Local businessman Haradhan Saha, who operates in the same market, noted that thefts have become a frequent problem in the Bhutki Bazaar area. He mentioned that several other shops in the area have been targeted in similar incidents. Saha has urged the authorities to increase police patrols in the region, especially during the night.
