Rajganj, 26th November: Police and the Excise Department recovered a large quantity of illicit country liquor and fermented wash during a joint operation in Rajganj block on Saturday.
The joint operation was conducted in the Jaldumur and Nepali Basti areas under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat by Bhorer Alo Police Station and officials of the NJP Excise Department.
During the operation, country liquor stored in a refrigerator was recovered from Nepali Basti. A large quantity of fermented wash was also recovered from Jaldumur.
The recovered country liquor and fermented wash were destroyed at the spot. According to administrative sources, further operations will be conducted against the illegal country liquor trade in the coming days.
