Police distributed masks, sanitizers and mustard oil among several pedestrians in Siliguri amid pandemic

Siliguri, 24th June: After a police constable tested positive for coronavirus, the officials of Siliguri Police Commissionerate, on Wednesday, stepped forward and raised COVID-19 awareness among the citizens. Masks, sanitizers, and mustard oil were distributed among several pedestrians in front of the Bhaktinagar Traffic Guard.


As mustard contains antiviral compounds, the police officials suggested people to use mustard oil to avoid cold. The use of masks and sanitizers were also highly suggested during the campaign.

DCP Kunwar Bhushan Singh, ADCP Traffic Jaspreet Singh, ACP Rajen Chhetri, and other police officials were present during the programme. Besides, a rally was also held to spread awareness across the city. Masks and mustard oil were also distributed during the rally.
