Phansidewa’s Moti Sporting Club wins Siliguri Commissioner Women’s Cup

Siliguri, 12th January: Commissioner’s Cup-2023 was organized under the aegis of Siliguri Metropolitan to popularize women’s football and encourage the talent of young children. A total of 16 teams participated in this Commissioner’s Cup that commenced on 7th January.


Today, the final match of the Commissioner’s Cup Women’s tournament was played between Moti Sporting Club of Phansidewa and Rathkhola Football Academy of Naxalbari. The match witnessed a tough match from both the teams, but Phansidewa’s Moti Sporting Club won the tournament by defeating Rathkhola Football Academy by 1-0 goals.

 


 

North Bengal IG Manoj Kumar handed over the trophy of Winners Commissioner’s Cup Women to Moti Sporting Club, Phansidewa. On the other hand, the Metropolitan gave bicycles to the three football team players of the Winner, Runner-up, and second-runner-up positions. Along with this, LED TVs were also presented to Best Goalkeeper, most goals in the tournament, Woman of the Match, and Woman of the Tournament.

IG Manoj Kumar, Police Commissioner Akhilesh Chaturvedi, DIG Darjeeling, and other senior officers were present in this program.
