Siliguri, 04th June: To deal with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the city, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation has decided that from now on, every outsider must provide all the information including their name, phone number, and address to the security guards, failing which they will not be allowed to enter the SMC office. Apart from this, people will also be thermally screened before their entry.
Shankar Ghosh, a member of SMC’s administrative board, stated that such an initiative has been taken to protect the SMC officials from the deadly virus. He further stated that if any person tests positive for the virus, the administration will take necessary action as per the recorded details.
