Panitanki Traffic Guard launches drive to clear footpath encroachments on Siliguri’s Hill Cart Road

Siliguri, 02nd September: The Panitanki Traffic Guard once again launched a drive to clear footpath encroachments along Hill Cart Road in Siliguri, with traffic police taking strict action to ensure smooth movement for pedestrians.

During the drive, several shopkeepers found operating businesses by occupying the footpath were warned and asked to remove goods and other items placed on the road.

Meanwhile, several vehicles were found parked on the footpath in front of shops instead of using designated parking spaces, obstructing the movement of pedestrians.

Traffic police took action against the illegally parked vehicles and imposed fines during the drive.

The traffic police said that such drives will continue in the coming days to control traffic congestion in the city and keep footpaths free from encroachments.
