Phansidewa, 20th November: A horrific road accident claims the life of a person while injuring two others on National Highway 31.
Reportedly, a four-wheeler vehicle crashed on the said National Highway after losing its control while heading from Bidhan Nagar in Phansidewa to Siliguri. The vehicle collided with a roadside electric pole leading to the driver’s death on the spot and the other two people sustained injuries. The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Bakshi, a resident of Bidhannagar.
The locals rescued the injured and rushed them to the Bidhan Nagar Primary Hospital, and later referred them to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. However, the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. The police of Bidhan Nagar Investigation Center have started probing the entire matter.
