Kharibari, 12th July: A car and a passenger bus collided head-on along the Kelabari Bypass road in Kharibari, resulting in critical injuries to the car driver. The injured driver, identified as Shashi Pandey, was immediately taken to Kharibari Rural Hospital for medical attention.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was travelling from Siliguri to Kharibari, while the four-wheeler was heading in the opposite direction. Local residents reported that the passenger bus lost control and collided with the car, causing it to veer off the road and the driver to sustain injuries.
Upon receiving the information, the Kharibari police swiftly arrived at the scene and took custody of the bus. The injured driver is currently receiving treatment, while the police continue their investigation into the incident.
