Siliguri, 16th October: In view of the upcoming festival Diwali, many banned firecrackers businesses have been slowly setting their foot disregarding the law. Selling such banned firecrackers has been taking place in various parts of the city. However, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police has also been taking continuous action against such selling.
In regard to this, the Siliguri Police arrested a person for dauntlessly selling banned firecrackers. The accused has been identified as Divyjit Kar. Reportedly, the police conducted a campaign and recovered banned firecrackers from the Nivedita Market of Siliguri. 120 boxes of banned firecrackers have been seized from the accused. Today the accused was produced in the Siliguri court.
