Siliguri, 22nd August: Every year the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with pomp at various places in Siliguri. However, the auspicious occasion is being celebrated across the country amid curtailed festivities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Likewise, Noukaghat Ganesh Puja Committee decided to worship Lord Ganesha in a slightly different way. A tree plantation programme was organized on behalf of the committee today. Mosquito nets were also distributed among the needy people after the programme.
On this occasion, members of the Committee including Siliguri Organizational District BJP President Praveen Agarwal, BJP leader Rathindra Bose.
