Siliguri, 05th October: The NJP police arrested a man for stealing oil from an electric transformer. The arrested accused has been identified as Prateek Sarkar.
It has been learned that on September 02, oil was stolen from a transformer in the Chunabhati area near Fulbari. Following which, a written complaint was lodged at the NJP police station on behalf of the power department.
The police launched investigations and arrested Pratik Sarkar from Langra More in Baribhasha late Monday night. Around 15 litres of stolen oil were recovered from his possession. He was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Tuesday.
