NAF members fail to conquer Ama Dablam mountain peak

Siliguri, 03rd December: Due to unpredictable weather conditions and the restrictions in view of the ongoing pandemic, four NAF members failed to conquer the Ama Dablam mountain peak.

Debashish Biswas is known as a skilled mountaineer. Apart from Everest, he has also conquered several other mountain peaks. Biswas, along with Moloy Chowdhury, Satyarup Siddhanta, and Siliguri’s Surja Chowdhury, had set out to conquer Nepal’s Ama Dablam (6,812 m height) in November.

However, they initially faced obstacles due to several rules and regulations concerning COVID-19. As a result, they started their mountain expedition much later. Even after being much close to their goal, they were compelled to return due to unfavourable weather conditions. Nevertheless, they took a challenge to fulfil their unachieved dreams in the future.

During a press conference at the Siliguri NAF office on Thursday, the four climbers handed over Ama Dablam’s pebbles to the NAF members.
