Siliguri, 24th January: Narhari Rai, a resident of Balasan, Matigara, won Rs 1 crore in a lottery, which has been kept at the Police station for security reasons.
According to sources, Narhari Rai, a laborer by profession, bought a lottery for Rs. 30 from Matigara Khaprail More, on Thursday morning. He was soon informed that he had won a Rs 1-crore. Upon receiving the news, he was overjoyed but also feared the safety of his lottery ticket.
Therefore, Rai decided that he would inform the Police regarding the incident. He reached Matigara Police station, where, the Police officers made proper arrangements for the safety of the ticket.
