Malda woman stabbed by her driver in broad daylight

Malda, 29th February: A woman was stabbed in broad daylight in the Subhas Pally area of ​​English Bazar. The injured has been identified as Preeti Vaishya Mali (40). She is currently undergoing treatment at the Malda Medical College Hospital. Mithu Vaishya Mali, the husband of the injured woman, is a trader by profession. The couple lives in a rented house in the Subhas Pally area in ​​Malda.

According to sources, Preeti was alone in the house, on Saturday afternoon. Her husband and son went to visit their village in Pakua, Bamangola. It has been alleged that the couple’s driver Noor Ahmed arrived at the house with his two friends. The trio demanded an amount of Rs 3 lakh from Preeti at gunpoint. However, when Preeti refused to comply, she was stabbed with a knife. The locals immediately reached the spot upon hearing Preeti’s screams and rushed her to the Malda Medical College-Hospital. The Police are investigating the entire incident.
